Doug Hemmer Results

This event is over as of October 3rd, 2009.  Results to be posted below.

Results:

The results are still being tallied by those that handled the donations as of 10/03/2009.  There are a lot of aspects to account for, and as such, Doug wants to ensure that a complete and accurate count is done with full details on where the donations were applied.  Please check back, as Doug has assured me that he will get the information to FIA as soon as it becomes available.

Sorry to all those that are still inquiring, but FIA "HAS NOT" been given any information as to the amount of money raised.  Personally, I think this is very unprofessional given the amount of work that FIA put into this event.  From our emails, we understand that you just want to know how much we raised and not how the money is going to be used, but FIA has no clue as of 02/01/10.  If anyone from the Dreamfish team reads this, please give FIA some numbers.

Normally, we wouldn't care about what we did, and would be happy just to help.  However, we feel that we were greatly taken advantage of so below is what FIA did to help.

1) Booked and arranged the venue at Gators.

2) Brought in Publix as a sponsor, which provided 10 huge pork butts that fed the entire tournament with some left over.

3) Brought in Winn Dixie as a sponsor, which provided several cases of hotdogs and burgers.

4) Brought in Hooters as a sponsor, which provided 500 wings and two event models to serve them throughout the day.

5) Brought in Adrian Write (Ex Bucs player) to grill all the food.  Adrian brought his own smoker and arrived at 5:30 am along with myself.

6) Hosted the website and created all the sign up forms, releases, payment options, updating captains and sponsors list almost daily available, as well as creating logos for sponsors.  Keeping up with this was a never ending job.

7) Designed the tournament poster from scratch, T Shirt graphics and wrote the press release.

8) Brought in Gentry printing, which provided 500 full color 11x17 posters for free.

9) Attended the meetings, aided in setting the rules, times, prizes, etc.

If that were all that FIA contributed, I'd say that is a hell of a lot of time and effort, but there's more.

FIA brought in the following sponsors and prizes.  To get these prizes it took some persistant effort in the form of phone calls, emails, and sending out request kits to each.

11) 7 Eye sponsor - provided a $200 pair of fishing glasses

12) Cost Plus Marine - provided $100 gift certificate

13) E- Sea Rider - Provided 3 bean bags valued at $400

14)  Gentry Printing - provided printing for posters

15) Marine Beam - provided $300 in LED lights

16) Sea Spension - Provided a $700 system

17) Holiday Inn Sunspree - provided a 3 night stay

18) Tradewinds Resort - provided a 3 night stay

19) Seeker rods - Provided 2 high end rods valued close to $600

20) Thunder Marine - Provided $50 and brought several show boats, signs and banners, as well as paid to fish the event with several guys.

21) Seaview - provided underwater fish camera system and lights valued arounf $500

That is what FIA did for the Dreamfish Tournament and here it is nearly 4 months later and not a single word on the results, not even an update.  Thanks guys...mighty stand up of you!   FIA finished up helping the Battle for Bella tournament on Nov 14th, and within 5 hours had the results!  Is it really that hard to tally the results and be respectful enough to provide those results to someone that helped so much?  Stay tuned for more info shortly!
